Design Driven – monthly speaker series. Free to attend, but quickly fills up. Speakers from: Buzzfeed, Kickstarter, VICE, GitHub, Audible, Facebook, eBay, SVA, etc. I attend almost monthly.

IxDA – Interaction Design Association.

Meetup and Eventbrite are best sources for local events as well, particularly talks, panels, portfolio nights, weekend UX events such as Protohack and Service Jam. All you need to do is a search of terms on either site.
