Ongoing growth and learning is something that is incredibly important to me. I write often about various topics and include reference links throughout the posts.

Below is a list of my personal favorite resources. Use these as rabbit holes to dig deeper.

Physical copies, Kindle, or audiobooks.

Don’t Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability by Steve Krug

If you choose one book out of this list, make it this one!

Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products by Nir Eyal

Watch his TED talk here.

Sprint: How to Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just 5 Days by Jake Knapp, John Zeratsky, Braden Kowitz.

If it’s good enough for Google Venture, it’s good enough for me.

UX Strategy: How to Device Innovative Digital Products That People Want by Jaime Levy

Deeper dive into the world of UX. Great read, but over your head if you’re unfamiliar with the basics.

Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die by Chip Heath

Any book from A Book Apart collection

Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It by Chris Voss

Tools of Titans: The Tactics, Routines, and Habits of Billionaires, Icons, and World-Class Performers by Tim Ferris (Collection of world-class performers’ tools, tactics, and routines!) He hosts an insightful interview podcast series if that’s your cup of tea.

Words That Change Minds: Mastering the Language of Influence by Shelle Rose Charvet.

This is one of those “don’t judge a book by its cover” instances. Awful cover, great book.

Informative audio programs for when you’re on the go or washing the dishes.
